Steve Tickle, Quality Control Manager at BRIT TIPP asked us if it was possible to replicate the Classic Rizla graphics made famous by John Reynolds (JR): The most iconic "Rizla Suzuki" rider in the UK. He won the 2004 British Superbike (BSB) Championship on a Rizla-sponsored GSX-R1000. All he had was a few pics from magazines and google.

Â
Steve is one of our favourite customers so really, we couldn't refuse. Trying to find all the classic logos was the hard bit. Set for a few weeks trawling through google and given some old magazines Steve had, our in house artworker got to work. We do say we can replicate almost anything after all.

Â
Steve is quality control of Brit Tipp, a large Commercial bodyworks company we have had the pleasure of supplying for the past 6 years, but when he got the bike he had a lot of work to painstakingly put it together to be as true to the original as he could. By the time it was ready and it was our turn to do the graphics the pressure was on.
Â
It took nearly a month to recreate the artwork for all the old logos. Some of them are old versions of old logos, but we were asked to keep it as true to the pics as we could.
Â
Steve literally drew on exactly where he wanted each logo (using a drywipe, which became a new trick here at Compliant).

The lads here worked on it outside of work hours. A few of the stickers had to be modified on the fly as the contours of the bike made the sizing's inconsistent. Luckily we are used to these kind of turnarounds.Â
Â
A week later and its pretty safe to say we absolutely smashed it.Â
